Who are we?
People like you: regular citizens, together with county officials and group representatives from trail associations, businesses and more.

What are we doing?
We want to make it easier to walk and cycle in Norfolk County. We are working towards improving the conditions of walking and cycling for health, recreation and transportation in Norfolk County.

What are our priority areas?
To promote the use of existing pathways in a safe and healthy way.
To advocate for new and to improve existing pathways.
To inventory existing and future pathways for accessibility and safety for walkers, cyclists and those with mobility devices.

Local walking opportunities

Norfolk County offers many indoor and outdoor walking opportunities.

Click here for information and a schedule for the "Discover Norfolk" Walking Club.

Women's Walking Groups:

Option 1:                                                                                                                                                                         

Where: Simcoe Recreation Centre, 182 South Drive, Simcoe

When: Mondays @ 9:30 a.m.

Group meets at the Recreation Centre and then decides where to walk.

 

Option 2:

 Where: Memorial Park, off Owen Street in Simcoe

 When: Wednesdays @ 10:00 a.m.

Group walks on the Lynn Valley Trail for approximately one hour.

 

Option 3:

Where: Memorial Park, off Owen Street in Simcoe

When: Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m.

A faster paced fitness walk on the Lynn Valley Trail to Ireland Road and back.
