Congratulations on taking the first step to making your workplace a healthy one! We have come to understand that many workplaces are working with limited resources and time to work on health. Therefore, we recognize that there may be genuine need for workplaces to have more information and resources to support a workplace wellness program. When employees are unhealthy this affects sick-time usage, increases administrative costs, escalates the use of benefits, requires accommodation, has impact on remaining employees, and contributes to stress at work and at home. Companies are realizing they can influence employees' healthy lifestyle choices by providing useful information, activities and programs regarding health. The purpose of the projecthealth toolkit is to support workplaces in their efforts to promote healthy lifestyles. projecthealth contains information about how to create a healthy workplace and provides recommendations for activities and resources that may be used to promote:
The projecthealth toolkit is yours to adapt to your work environment and to utilize depending on the needs of your employees. This toolkit consists of eight sections and contains a variety of resources. You do not need to use this resource in any specific order. It will depend on the topic you choose and the type of information you wish to access. Always remember that each workplace has its own unique needs.
