Introduction to Healthy Eating Print

The workplace is a great setting to promote healthy eating.  Canadian adults spend a significant proportion of their waking hours at work and many employees eat at least one or more meals and snacks at work.  Your workplace can support healthy eating programs by:

  • providing time for employees to go to information sessions about healthy eating,
  • offering appropriate foods in the cafeteria, vending machines and at workplace functions, or by
  • having refrigerators and microwaves so that meals may be stored and prepared safely and appropriately.
