Introduction to Smoke-Free Spaces and Smoking Cessation Print

Your workplace has an important role to play in supporting your employees to quit smoking and in protecting your employees from second-hand smoke. This section has tools and tips for you to try for both of these areas. The province of Ontario has passed Smoke-Free Ontario legislation. As of May 31, 2006 there is no smoking in workplaces and public places in Ontario.

Outlined in this section, are several recommended initiatives you may use to support employees to quit smoking or to reduce employee exposure to second-hand smoke. The smoking cessation tools will be helpful for all workplaces with employees who smoke.  Choose which initiative best meets the needs of your workplace.
